Teen Driver Ed Services

Take our comprehensive teen driver education course at our Baton Rouge driving school. Gain confidence behind-the-wheel and learn the rules of the road with our Louisiana state-approved driver ed program.

A Temporary Instructional Permit is required to attend all classes.

Per OMV regulation, all students must obtain a temporary instructional permit before attending the first day of class. TIP cards are issued by appointment only at the Office of Motor Vehicle locations (not given at Express locations).  Students without a TIP card will not be able to attend class and must schedule make-up classes during another available session.

If you are under 18, you will need:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Social Security card
  • Proof of Address
  • One custodial parent or court documents showing custodial status

All account balances must be paid in full by the first day of class. Account balances can be paid online, by mail, or via phone.  Students with an outstanding balance will not be able to attend class or participate in behind-the-wheel training.

  • 38-Hour Traditional Driver's Ed Package

    • 30-Hours of Classroom
Taught in four 8-hour days from 8 AM to 4 PM. The classroom consists of textbook, lectures, videos, and guest speakers. We use a textbook and the LA Class E Driving Manual.
    • Written Driving Test
The Louisiana written driving test is taken at the end of the day. All students must pass with a minimum of 80%. An option to retest after driving is possible.
    • 8-Hours of Private Behind-the-Wheel Driving Instruction
Four 2-hour sessions scheduled within 120 days of classroom completion. All students begin in a parking lot for assessment, then progress in a structured lesson plan.

You are required to obtain a Temporary Instructional Permit (TIP) prior to the first day of class.  All account balances must be paid prior to the first day of class.

  • 8-Hours Behind-the-Wheel Driving Lessons

Did you take the classroom portion of your driver education at another school? Sign up for this package if you are looking to only complete the behind-the-wheel state requirement at our driving school. Driving lessons are scheduled in four, 2-hour lessons. You will be picked up and dropped off at our Bluebonnet Blvd location.

  • Private Lesson - 2 Hour

Some students require more than 8 hours of behind-the-wheel lessons. We offer additional training in 2-hour time slots. This extra time is great for working on a specific maneuver or just gaining more experience driving.
