Full Drivers Education- 38 Hours

***** Effective October 1, 2010, the NEW Certificate of Completion from the Dept. of Public Safety
requires a parent's signature. If the student wants the certificate on the last driving lesson
a parent needs to be either at home or the drop-off location to sign off and receive it.
If a parent will not be able to be at either location, they will need to set up a time to
come to the office and sign the paperwork, at which time they will be given the certificate.
We will begin this procedure on September 1. *****

Classroom:


The above sessions are classroom only. The hours are from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM. The students will have a 30 minute lunch break at noon each day. They may bring their lunch or eat out. Monterrey classes only we allow each student to pick from selected menus and a driver is sent to pick it up. The Monterrey location does not have fast food within walking distance. We do have a microwave oven, refrigerator, soft drink machine,  and snack machine.





 Behind the wheel:

Driving lessons will be scheduled in four two-hour lessons. The student will be picked up and dropped off at home or school if they live within East Baton Rouge parish. If they live outside the parish, we will arrange a specific pick up and drop off point. The student's driving lessons will be scheduled upon completion of the classroom sessions, provided payment has been made in full. During the school year, because of limited hours available to drive, it takes approximately six to eight weeks to complete the behind the wheel training.

(NOTE: Entire fee must be paid AND classes completed before driving lessons are scheduled.)

 

The full drivers education program is required for students
fifteen and sixteen before obtaining a learner's permit.
*** Effective January 1, 2010, a student can start the class once they are 90 days prior to 15 years of age. ***
If you are seventeen or older you can take the 30 hour classroom
and 6 hours behind the wheel course. The fee for this course is $395.

Our business office is at 9343 Florida Blvd. Suite C (next to Vision For Less). Office hours are 8:30 - 4:30 Monday - Friday.
